Mr. Adnan Oktar's Views About The Death Of Actress Brittany Murphy - ENGLISH
January 2010
Tempo Tv – Kral Karadeniz TV, January 1, 2010
PRESENTER: The famous American actress Britanny Murphy died at a very early age of a cardiopulmonary arrest. Do you think this incident could be instrumental in making people who know and love her think about Allah and the Hereafter?
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, a lot of celebrities and well-known people pass away but people are not so loyal. For instance, Sakıp Sabancı [a very famous industrialist in Turkey] was a very cheerful person; he used to always appear in TV channels and we used to like him, his style, right? He had a distinctive way of speaking, an affectionate one. For instance he was not a person who put on pretenses; he used to speak sincerely, he was a very candid person. However right now we do not hear a word about him. People have almost forgotten him despite the fact that he left huge facilities behind, great investments. He was a person who made great effort for the good of Turkey. But generally people forget celebrities, famous people, precious people very quickly. It is the same with this young lady as well. The fact that she passed away at a young age sometimes negatively affects people but there is also good in this. We will take lessons from this insha’Allah. That is death may befall on people at an early age, at middle ages or at latter years of life. But the phrase-mongeringabout “dying at young age” is erroneous because it is the way Allah preordained. Just as how Allah gives life He takes it away, because Allah creates that as an image in our brains. She exists in the outer world but Allah creates her as an image in our brain. All-Mighty Allah does not ask us while creating; He does not ask, “Shall I Create?” Similarly He does not ask us while taking one’s soul away. Whomever life belongs to, He does whatever is necessary. Since it belongs to All-Mighty Allah, He does what is necessary, doesn’t He? Even when a landlord decides to demolish his house, do people go and ask him why he does that? They can’t. He decides to build a house on his land and could someone go and ask him why he built that house? They can not ask, that house belongs to him. Likewise a human being belongs to Allah. Since Allah says that He created that man, and does not ask while creating, He likewise does not ask while taking him back. For this reason one needs to see wisdom and goodness in it. But of course in the world of entertainment such incidents ruin people’s tastes but their thinking about Allah is important. If they think about Allah, they will understand the Hereafter and if they understand the Herafter, living for all eternity is a very beautiful feeling, so they should rejoice in it, what else can they ask for? Faith in the Hereafter is something that brings joy, not something that ruins tastes. One will live for all eternity, how great, in the environment of Paradise. What else can be desired? Insha’Allah.
